The White House isn't hiding the fact the United States continues to buy oil from Russia anymore.
During the White House press briefing on Thursday Press Secretary Jen Psaki told reporters "We don't have a strategic interest in reducing the global supply of energy and that would raise prices at the gas pump for the American people around the world because it would reduce the supply available," she continued. "And it's as simple as less supply raises prices, and that is certainly a big factor for the president at this moment. It also has the potential to pad the pockets of President Putin, which is exactly what we are not trying to do."

After hours of research by our Verified by Twitter fact checkers we can conclude and assure you that banning Russian oil imports into the United States would actually hurt Russia and their economy.

That information alone isn't enough for our fact checkers to confirm collusion between the United States and Russia but when our team took a look at the bigger picture we noticed an odd trend. The Biden administration has been setting the stage for and downplaying Russia's invasion of Ukraine for a while now. Even before the Russian invasion of Ukraine started President Biden was downplaying the threat by stating it could be "a minor incursion".
When the Russian invasion of Ukraine began President Biden attempted to convince the Ukranian President to abandon Ukraine. If the offer had been accepted Russia would have total control over Ukraine right now.
Even after seeing war crimes committed by Russia, the Biden administration is funding the Russian military by continuing to purchase large amounts of oil from Russia.
